Rainbow Week

Nursery talked about why they are special and unique. They made their own ‘I’m special’ mirrors. Reception made houses to show who is in their family. There are lots of different types of families! In our Rainbow Week assembly Reception class told us all about their work and recited a poem about families.

Year 1 and 2 learnt about all of the different types of families by reading the book- ‘Families, families, families’. They performed the song ‘Families, families, families’ too! The children made their own ‘I am special’ rainbows with writing about why they are special and unique.

Year 3 made paintings based on aboriginal art. The symbols show different family groups. They were challenged to show as many different family types as they could think of!
