Welcome to Owl Class
This half term in English, we are reading ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ by Roald Dahl. We are looking forward to completing some fantastic writing based on this book and we can’t wait to share some examples with you soon!
In Mathematics, we are working hard to develop our place value knowledge for numbers to 1000. We will also continue to develop our knowledge of the 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
In our other subjects, we are looking at some very interesting topics!
In Science, we are answering the question, ‘What do our bodies do with the food that we eat?’
In Geography, we are looking at the local area and what makes the North East special. This will also link to our Art topic of local landmarks. We will be going on a school visit linked to these topics to extend our knowledge.
We are also looking at friendships and families in PSHE, Christianity in RE and will also be learning French for the first time!
Our PE day is a Wednesday afternoon.
This year, our teacher is Miss Hodgson. There are 24 children in our class.
On an afternoon, we will join with Year 4 (Squirrel Class) and sometimes their teacher (Miss Robertson) will teach us.
Keep an eye on this page to see what we get up to!
